LOL Tracy... LostInTheWoods is not an InstantSpot newb. Looking through his blog you will see his first post was December 20, 2006. That is a virtual old timer around here! :)
Keep spreading the love though brutha!

Whoa, make that December 6! That is almost prehistoric status. We had only had this network afloat about 2.5 months then.

See what old age does to ya'?
I'm corn-fused.
Just like I was in the woods that day.

Welcome, Lost. I'll attempt to tell you the story of this group of refugees (at my host Tracy's request). I'm SURE others will tell you I'm ALL wet and have their own versions. As Tracy once described this group: We couldn't agree on where to have lunch if he was buying!
Most of us "met" on a predominantly-political blog. There were some other discussions but the ones most lively were political. Tracy mostly kept us well entertained. After stating his opinion (backed up with excellent support) he wasn't one to argue -- accepting that everyone (rightly so) has an opinion. He has a sharp BUT WARPED mind and can see what most can't. It is always thought provoking and FUN!
Some bloggers at that place where we met wanted to post as several different posters and finally decided to post their vile, meanness using other posters names/nics. So they attacked others as one of us, posted the most ridiculous, vile, mean stuff as anyone but themselves.
We asked the moderators for a simple "sign-in," and boycotted. It was a dull place for awhile after we left, but like always the "pull your fist out of the bucket of water and see what size hole is left" was proven true. It always is and always will be, don't ya know!? In not too long it went back to what it had always been.
In the meantime we found a place where we could discuss seriously (for short periods of time as we would actually rather just visit with friends), share all manner of stuff (serious and not so much). Several of us discovered we like this atmosphere MUCH better. Some of our boycotters went back to the original blog, all of us looked in and many of us still read and post there occasionally. But we all found it to be more of the same and we didn't like it any better than before.
At our new place we ran into a little soldier boy whose only goal was to irritate and cause trouble. He had followed us from that original blog. He was like a swarm of gnats -- no brains a'tall, always there, always needing to be batted at to keep him from landing in your eye, a real downer this boy soldier. He was our self-appointed protector and no matter how many times we told him we didn't want or need protection, we didn't want or need his morality (we all have our own), he was emboldened and mostly just stupid and insulting.
We were not to be discouraged in our quest for utopia! Tracy set up this nice place with the help of a couple of techie friends -- Ace and WSClark. Our small group of refugees moved once again to this nice blogging home. We are a small group and welcome new posters. We all own our opinions, post under one name all the time. And we all recognize that when a disagreement is no longer anything but a butting of heads -- no one needs clarification and no one is learning -- it's time to agree to disagree. We can show our butts in more fun ways than futile arguments that change no one's opinions.
Pull up a chair and stay awhile. Let us know what you think.

You'll find mostly cutnpaste along with humor and light commentary.
IF I had time, I would love to do some writing.

I will check in and see what gets discussed. I am guessing you are all in the US (am I wrong?). You'll be getting a liberal European perspective from me.

Morning LIW.
Yeah, so far we are all Kansans, or Kansas natives.
Do they like american indian stuff over there?
If so, check out my links page for Wayne Wildcat.
An interesting browse.

So, LIW, you've been in Sweden for a couple of years now? Is this for school, for a job or is it possible the job is school? I'll have to spend more time on your blog another day. This day I am determined NOT to sit here and to be productive. So much to do, so little time.

The move is pretty much permanent, my girlfriend is Swedish and one of us have to live abroad if we are to remain together... and it's my turn. First had a job, then I went to school, now looking for another job.
