Tyson should be charged if it can be shown the hiring was done knowingly (can't recall the other elements set out by the statute).

Grumble of the day. As we all know, there is construction currently ongoing at the intersection of E. Kellogg and Rock Road. This has resulted in the dimunition of South bound lanes on Rock as the same approach the intersection. Why, then, do people insist in exiting Towne East onto Rock (creating a bigger bottleneck) to then just turn West on Kellogg? It seems to me that exiting the mall on the West side, onto Armour, then turning West on Kellogg at that intersection, would help alleviate some of the problems at Rock and Kellogg. Of course, they could also, if they want to go East on Kellogg, make the turn at Armour, instead of obstructing the South bound lanes on Rock to get to the turn lane that is still operational, thereby causing a bottleneck of all South bound traffic on Rock. I noted this while riding Monday on the limo supplied by WTA (just me and the driver at that point) and watching the traffic signal cycle through three red lights before the bus could move 45 feet. While my suggestion isn't a cure for the bottleneck, it would help. I would certainly use the West side exits, as I suspect more gas is used idling waiting for the traffic to clear so I might move rather than driving across the lot from the East side to the West side to exit.

Ah, Monica G is to testify today under a grant of immunity. Wonder if she will say anything of merit, or will employ the artful dodger approach of her former boss?

"Transcripts from a Judiciary Committee interview with a career Justice Department attorney released late Tuesday show Goodling sobbing uncontrollably and at great length in his office when the controversy began to swirl around her in March.

"She proceeded for the next, it seemed like forever, but it was probably only about 30 or 45 minutes, to bawl her eyes out and say, 'All I ever wanted to do was serve this president and this administration and this department,' " associate deputy attorney David Margolis said.

"My goal was to try to calm her, so I gave her some advice to calm her -- calm her down, which didn't work," Margolis said.

"I tried to make her laugh, which didn't work, and to give her some personal advice, which she didn't take," Margolis said."

Above is an excerpt taken from story about Monica G testifying today. What I found interesting is the lack of any mention of the country and the people in her list of those she wanted to serve.
