I'm not sure when it was but I'll bet the bothersome callers are watching the numbers and those that "expire" will be added into those called ASAP. The problem with the "do not call" list, is that it's backwards. There should be a presumption that no one wants to be called, and the only exception should be those who volunteer to be called by the solicitors, etc.
And yes, Linda, the solicitors are no doubt watching carefully; so I plan to check within the next few months to see when the expiration date of my original "sign up" is, so I can "renew" timely.
