THANKS JULIE !!

TURDS

I've been using the turds category more lately. Turds are funny, I don't care who ya' are, turds are funny.

Cannibal Truism
A cannibal was walking through the jungle and came upon a restaurant
operated by a fellow cannibal. Feeling somewhat hungry, he sat down
and looked over the menu..

Broiled Missionary: $10.00 -
Fried Explorer: $15.00 -
Grilled Republican: $100.00 -
Baked Democrat: $100.00..

The cannibal called the waiter over and asked, 'Why such a price
difference for the Politicians?'

The cook replied, "Have you ever tried to clean one?
They're so full of shit, it takes all day......"

More and more I think funny and happy might be the secret to life! I'm trying to be serious here when I tell you WE PROBABLY TAKE THINGS TOO SERIOUSLY. At least some of those "things" we take too seriously - politics -- bring us down and keep us from enjoying and being happy about the really important parts of life. Health, friends, love, now those are SERIOUS topics!

How is everyone?

Tracy is your Dad OK?

Has anyone heard from rm? Last I heard was better news but I still wonder and I miss his good mind. He was one who was able to laugh at these politicians. And they really are hilariously funny, aren't they!?

If I spend too much time reading the Price boys and ksgrm I begin to think the world might be full of that kind of meanness and bigotry. But it's like gawking at the car wreck -- the more disgusting it is the more I seem to not be able to drive on by! Boy, I am a sloooooow learner!

Anyway, I'm going to spend what time I have here with smart people who have enough sense to realize humanity deserves respect and isn't ours to control.

Tomorrow is my day to volunteer at the Decorator's Showcase House so today I need to get two day's stuff done.

My walking friend, Ginger (dog), is at the groomers this morning. Am I out walking anyway? Nope! Boy, I must remember to thank her for being who keeps me active! I sure don't have discipline to do what's good for me without those gorgeous brown eyes egging me on. If I get busy this morning and the weather doesn't get unreasonable maybe she and I will walk this afternoon.

Are we EVER going to get rain??

Linda,

Looking at the radar report, looks like you, on the West side, should be seeing some rain "any time now".

Tracy, thanks for the humor.

To all, rm is doing well; in fact, Linda, he posted "over there" at some point this morning, a post I interpreted as addressed to you.

Is that rm? Well, it's a start! Next time you talk to him tell him he is a DARLIN' and he is missed.

IT IS RAINING! I might take off my shoes and go out to do a jig in a puddle! I've lived here 17 years so most neighbors already know I'm a nutcase.

Linda, I learned a lesson from my canine buddy Adeline, (Addie).
It took four huge people to hold the bitch down long enough to cut her nails. No fun.
A week later, at home when all relaxed,
SHE LET ME PAINT HER TOE-NAILS!

When it comes down to trust, I'm her only buddy!

I wish I could be as good as my dog!

She did the shake all over please rescue me routine this morning. She is too much of a lady and too well behaved to pee in the floor like the other dog being delivered to the groomers. In fact, when she saw that she looked into my eyes and pleaded with me NOT to leave her where that kind of behavior was tolerated!

She is a "mixed-breed mutt," and must have some ancestry in a very long-haired breed. Her hair gets so long and is so thick she can't get cool. I've tried cutting it and boy can I mess up a haircut! So we have to go get the haircut by people who know what they're doing. Other than that, I keep her nails trimmed and keep her bathed here at home where she is with people she knows she can trust.

BTW, the new neighbors who moved in catty corner now have a good idea I am a nutcase! The rain was very short-lived. But it still is cloudy so maybe...

Gster did everything he could do to ensure rain and Vaughn doomed it! So, we know who to blame!

I don't think so; with my luck, I'm the kind of guy that can go into a room full of diamonds and come out with a dog turd!

The storm just went by and the bike is ready for bow-drying.

gster, hold off on the blow drying. That which went through, per the radar, was a minor advance line, with a whole lot more sitting off to the West, slowly moving this way.

(as current update as I can give)

rm is reporting as I "type" it is pouring at the present in the vicinity of the Kansas Masonic Home. It is his professional opinion that downtown will get it in about five minutes.

It has passed me, headed east. Knocked out power briefly. Wayne's computer across the room doesn't look normal. My solution is to shut it down and wait for him. Mine restarted and all is well.

Ah, hearing the sound of the whistle on the UP steam engine, as I stick my head out to ascertain the rain has ceased. Nothing quite like a whistle on a steam engine.
