The title of your post reminded me - Friday mid-day news was showing people camping out on Thursday night at Best Buy... or Circuit City... or some such place. This was followed by a shot of people literally running into a mall as the unlocked the doors reminiscent of the running of the bulls in Pamplona. I looked at my wife and said "I bet Jesus is so proud of us..." [sigh....]
Yeah Dave, sheesh. Makes one wonder if they forgot to read the read letters in the "good book".
I gotta see this movie. Religous irony. I liked "Dogma" the first couple of times I saw it.
One thing I do see happening is kinda like the "greens" movement. That is people "gifting" to a charity in your name. I'd like to buy a goat for a villager, that way my "gift card" could say something about giving a goat in honor of one of my favaorite OLD GOATS.
:) I was not so crazy as to be camping out (not to mention you couldn't pay me enough to get me near either one of those stores the day after thanksgiving - watching the mass chaos from stores down the way is more than overwhelming enough - that mess simply isn't worth any money you MIGHT save) the day after Thanksgiving - although I did drag myself out of bed pre-dawn to run over to Radio Shack and pic up the fiance's gift - there were about ten people outside the store, and this was something I REALLY REALLY wanted to get him and could only afford during their sale and I had to work :) But if there had been more than 10 people out there, believe you me, he wouldn't be getting that gift for Christmas :)
