Tracy, are you sure there aren't a bunch of former military NCOs making the coffee? :-)

Hope you get better, too; there's a bunch of stuff "going around" (when is that statement ever not true?).

Recipe for making coffee, as learned in the Air Force:

Obtain 100 cup percolator, 1 each, fill with water;
Obtain can of coffee, 1 each, fill basket where coffee grounds go to appropriate level (full, if can is large enough);
Plug in percolator; coffee is of sufficient strength and done when it comes out of spout of percolator looking like used 40 weight oil (usually about 1600 hours);
Enjoy.

Yep, lots of stuff going around. The 3-month-old grandson has a stuffy nose and is coughing. I was feeling lousy most of the weekend.

Take care, Tracy! Sounds like it's crackers and 7-Up time for you. (And try some astragalus or even echinacia to help build up your immune system. Dr. Rox has spoken >grin<)

I again ask the rhetorical question: Why did the younger decide to go to college in Maine?

..WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST TUESDAY

REST OF TODAY
SNOW. SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 4 TO 6 INCHES. HIGHS IN
THE MID 20S. NORTHEAST WINDS 10 TO 15 MPH. CHANCE OF SNOW NEAR
100 PERCENT.

TONIGHT
SNOW. AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW AFTER MIDNIGHT. TOTAL SNOW
ACCUMULATION 12 TO 18 INCHES. BRISK WITH LOWS IN THE LOWER 20S.
NORTHWEST WINDS 15 TO 25 MPH. CHANCE OF SNOW NEAR 100 PERCENT.

Well, at least Tracy won't have to deal with this as he sits at home with the crackers and 7-Up. :-)

We had the "crud" around our house all week last week. First the fiance popped up with it on Tuesday, wound up going home from work on Thursday. I woke up with a stuffy nose on Friday and quickly degenerated from there, and was miserable most of the weekend, but whereas I *seem* (that's a disclaimer) to have almost fully recovered, the fiance has backpedaled and is back to where he was this morning. The good news is that other than a slightly runny nose, the monster is fine. The bad news is that we spent the weekend potty training - and went through four pairs of underwear on Saturday alone... which was made all the more frustrating by the fact that he wore underwear to daycare on Friday and stayed dry all day... i just don't know what to do with the child, I swear...

Wendy, do I empathize with you on the potty training gig. It will happen at home, I assure you. Wonder if the day care has any "secrets" to share? Hope the fiance is better, as he'll likely be a bigger problem than "monster"; I know that back in the day, I was. :-(

He definitely is.

I have talked to daycare and we do all the same things at home that they do there. difference is, I suppose, they intimidate him more than i do... it's a battle of the wills between the two of us, whereas he is much more well-behaved and listens for them :)

I'm really sorry you're not feeling well Tracy! You've been sad for awhile and I'm sorry about that too.

Remember the cousin and the trips to Manhattan's hospital I mentioned more than a month ago? She died this past weekend. It's hard! She would have been 42 in a few days. She leaves four children - 18, 16, twins 6. There is nothing good or pretty about this story. She drank herself to death. How can someone be that sad and successful at ending their misery? I'm sorry. That's not a great way of putting it, I'm tired and depressed and shouldn't have posted anything.

Thank you -- ALL of you for being loving friends! It really is love that makes the world go round.

Now, Tracy, as soon as physically possible get hold of those boot straps AGAIN and pull. I plan to be pulling too.

We've probably all forgotten to remember how many people love us and how many people count on us and that we really do make a difference, even if it's a tiny little one.
