Well, to be nitpicky, welcome to the day of the year with the shortest amount of sunlight; the day continues at 24 hours, regardless.
Mrs. VT was just notified of the "big appointment" we've been anticipating on Dec. 26th. As a lay person, I cannot believe how fast the progress in healing has been since the wound pump technology was employed.

Glad to hear the end could be near. Wild day to day getting all of the loose ends covered. Today will be better than yesterday I'm sure. At least not so hectic. Looking forward to big family gathering the day after Christmas with my mom and seven sisters. We are a tight knit bunch and enjoy each others company.
We are a diverse group. Four democrats and four republicans. This makes for some interesting conversations until our mom says 'enough already'. Usually this is because she wants to play her favorite game - Fargo. She always insists on keeping score - she is better than the rest of us our because we get to conversing and forget to write scores down.
Enjoy family - they are fun.

More good news!
Busy day here - I'm sure everyone everywhere is busy. My two youngest grandchildren, girls who turned 12 and 10 three days ago (cousins born same day two years apart!) are celebrating with friends this afternoon at MindScapes. Grandma is supplying refreshments and keeping things tidy and organized while they and their guests play away.
The flight has left and just maybe the connection in Houston can still be made. Just maybe.

ksgrm, I am oldest of seven and the oldest six are girls. Us six girls have one baby brother who has been very spoiled all of his soon to be fifty years. Also, Oklahoma is my birth state -- born in Watonga, county seat of Blaine County. I only lived there a few years but still have aunts and uncles and cousins we visit in the neck of the woods. Small world, huh?

It sure is. I lived there a little longer. Our youngest was 16 and I was already a grandmother. Left the oldest grandson and his mom and dad in Miami for a couple of months until they moved up to go to work for Dad's business. That is why my oldest grandson is spoiled. He was my only for five years and he and his parents lived in our basement for two years.
My sis's and I get together 3 times a year. Usually 2 of those in Branson. Condo's are relatively inexpensive and we just hang out, take in a show if there is a new one we want to see. Last time we took a Wii game and my mom learned to bowl. She loved it. Wants to play all of the time now.
It is a great game for 'older' people. Gets them off their duffs.

My Mom lives at Shell Knob so Branson is often visited for shopping and shows. If you haven't seen Shoji Tabuchi it is well worth the cost!
My sisters and I are also very close and see each other often. One sister who lives in Charlotte is one of my very best friends and we talk on the phone almost daily. Her and her husband and me and mine travel quite a bit together.
I will be playing Wii sports this very afternoon. It's the only computer games I am any good at. I'm not trying that Rock Band thing again but sure enjoy watching the kids!
