I got a forwarded email from WS Clark. Wondered whatever happened to him, he just kinda' dissapeared. I haven't been by the WEBlog for a while. It brings out the worst in me.

Anyway, I'll just keep doing my little cutnpaste routine. I sure don't wanna go back to the talking points and swiftboating.

Since Uncle Joe pooped out, I'll back the next loser....John Edwards. Sorry John, I know you read my bloggie daily and realize this is a major kiss of death. Buck up little camper, even after losing you'll still have health insurance and plenty of cash.

Today's turd hastabee the local union that bargains with my employer. After two months of talks, they accepted less than the company offered in the first place. Also lost another 20% of the membership in the process.

Well, I'm non-union, so I'll be getting back to work now!

Donut Day Masonry?

Good morning donut fans. If I were closer, I'm sure I could lend a hand on the masonry. Or at least some tools!

A quick inventory reveals these tools in my collection: a 10" diamond blade masonry wet-saw, a cement mixer, a mortor mixing pan and hoe, numerous trowels, a brick hod, buckets, levels, and just about any hand tool you would need! Not to speak of the thousands of bricks that I need to sell off.

Since I no longer have the time, energy, and motivation to play with all these toys....I suppose I really should have an auction.

Sorry for the conspicous abscence. I began feeling extraordinary at some point in my morning yesterday, which is completely against my mission statement. (Do I have a mission statement? Hmmmm, don't remember. I'll have my people check on that.) In in case, I ramble. Feeling extraordinary caused some temporary physical discomfort, and I abandonded my station until now. I'm feeling quite mediocre again, and MUST be mediocre ALL DAY LONG, as it is my 18th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Mediocrity no doubt has plans for this feeble, old, male menopausal, broken down, toothless, bald fart. Wish me luck, HA!

And I see that you common taters have been common tating up a storm. Let me ketchup for a while....I'll be back.

Aaaahhhh, peace and quiet. The power is back on at the daughter's house, so the grandkids got to go home. Cute little boogers for about the first 3 or 4 days...

..the 3 yr old grandson has finally taken to me. We were wrestling and he blurts out: "I'm goana get you nigger."

I believe that is a term of endearment between black folks.

I'm honored to be one of the niggers!

We've got about 1/2" of ice right now. Expecting about 1" more over the next 24 hrs. All the schools are out. Much widespread power outages across the 4-state area. I've got a generator over at Dad's ready to go. Looks like we're a bit short-handed here at work. Much of Joplin is without power. Kid and grandkids staying with friends.

REMINDER: DO NOT LEAVE ICE SCRAPER INSIDE CAR. (the doors are frozen shut with the scraper inside)

Yesterday, December 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.

The United States was at peace with that Nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with its Government and its Emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific. Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu, the Japanese Ambassador to the United States and his colleague delivered to the Secretary of State a form reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.

It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time the Japanese Government had deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian Islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. Very many American lives have been lost. In addition American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.

Yesterday the Japanese Government also launched an attack against Malaya.

Last night Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong.

Last night Japanese forces attacked Guam.

Last night Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands.

Last night the Japanese attacked Midway Island.

Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our Nation.

As Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.

Always will we remember the character of the onslaught against us.

No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.

I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost but will make very certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again.

Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory, and our interests are in grave danger.

With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounded determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable triumph - so help us God.

I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, December seventh, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese Empire.

Roy is on dialysis 3 times a week (MWF) and is urinating on his own - he produced 700 cc's Monday night, over 1000 cc's on Tuesday and over 1000 cc's today.
Looks like kidneys are coming back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He should start a more intensive physical therapy sometime this week hopefully getting up to walk next week. The rabdo (muscle breakdown) did a number on him - he lost a ton of muscle.

He's starting to whine and all so we're seeing progress. He's tired of being cooped up. I've been teasing him that on the ride home he's gonna stick his head out the window like a puppy.
